According to songwriter and author Robert Boog, Shakespeare may not have been the writer we always believed him to be. And that there is evidence that the playwright Shakespeare, was bipolar.
Let’s just stop for a minute. I hold my hand up, as do many authors, to admitting that we suffer for our creativity. Most writers suffer from depression and most fiction authors hear voices in our heads. Which makes us a little schizo.
The depression takes us to a dark place where the writing is gold, and the voices we hear are our characters leading us the right way or having a go at us for putting them in a situation that the character would never have got into… Have I lost you yet? Bear with me. If we authors go through these periods of mental anguish and what we refer to as being in the “zone,” then if Shakespeare or any other writer went through the same thing back in those days, would they be thought of as being mentally insane?
So could Shakespeare have been bipolar? Yes, he could have. If you look at his work: the sonnets, the plays, most are very dark tragic, and even the comedies are so ‘out there.’ That in that era, he could have been mentally ill.
Robert believes that the author of the plays and sonnets didn’t want to be attached to the work and allowed someone else to take the credit.
In this episode of Behind The Pen. I go behind Robert’s songwriting to the screenplays he’s written, and then we discuss his latest book Shakeys Madness. Enjoy.
Is Lauren the real deal? Skeptics and those that think they may have a gift, need to watch the following video.
I started my chat with Lauren asking how does a Psychic get endorsed. And the answer is she was put to the test numerous times by two established boards of specialists in the field.
The test was talking on the phone to strangers and reading them and being correct to what she felt and heard.
There is much more to this story, which you will learn through this video.
I can honestly say I’ve never gone through anything like this before. It was enlightening, amazing and she just left me in awe. And it was one of the most emotional events I have partaken in.
Do enjoy this very special episode of Behind The Pen.
Since the video, I have now realized that EVERYTHING she said was related to the three people that came through. Every word, number, statement she made, was correct. But it took me at least 24hrs before all the pieces came together.
You can book an appointment with Lauren, or buy her book here.

When I started chatting to Athena, I assumed she was just another author and surprisingly a songwriter. But as we continued to chat more and more about her life, dedication, and love came to light.
Please watch this episode and learn about the amazing lady and what she does and plans to do 😉
More about Athena (Greek Goddess of warfare, wisdom and handicraft. Athena was regarded as the patron and protectress of various cities.)
Athena Goodman was born in the U.S. Virgin Islands and was brought to Boston, MA, a couple of weeks after the infamous blizzard of ‘78. By the age of nine, she started developing her passion to write from her innermost feelings and thoughts.
Boston was a quaint new place to her. This prompted her to write more and put everything into writing. A beginning of a life-long journey to carve her fragile destiny with her mind and a pen as her tools to achieve everything she had ever dreamed of.
As a young girl, she finished reading all the books in her school library before the sixth grade. Goodman’s writing career began as a feature story writer in high school where her first story appeared in the Harvard Gazette.
In Virginia, she wrote for the Sundial Newspaper at a boarding college then named Randolph-Macon Women’s College. Later, she attended Radcliff College where she took graduate writing and editing classes then went to Harvard University, where her love for children’s literature was developed.
I was honoured to chat with the founder and director of this foundation, Dawn Witte. She has such positivity in everything she says and wears her heart on her sleeve. She sees the good in everything and can always turn the negative into a positive just by her smile and speech. You can feel her love and compassion radiate from her. She has such a light inside her, that you can’t help feeling joy when talking with her. She’s all about love and wants to help and give out this positivity to as many people as she can. After my chat with her, I now think of her as an Earth Mother. Watch the video to understand why.

About the book; The book “The Story Of Dots…” is set against the backdrop of the author’s real life. It takes into account the experience that she had to handle in coping with friends, family, strangers, stranglers. It takes through a rollercoaster ride of the impact of social media. It talks about the voids in a person’s life and the need to grout it as & when required. It talks about the richness of the punctuations in English language specially the mere ‘dot’ with a focus on the power of words to make you feel low and high at different times. It takes you through the different time zones of the author’s life, all coinciding towards the fierce well, the dot. It encourages to fight the mental health issues created under the influence of the mingled yarns.
We all have heard of that phrase, ‘a friend in need is a friend indeed.’ Whenever there is trouble in life we always seek a friend who will listen to our problems.
But how many times can we express our feelings without having the fear of being judged by the same person? We can’t.
In the book named, ‘STORY OF DOTS…’ author Zarin Ali, starts by talking about her childhood memories and puts forward her various learnings so that we face our problems more consciously and make rational decisions at every step of our lives.
She beautifully explains the transition that she underwent while she was growing up, from being a child to a teenager, the way she became accustomed with the ways of the world.
The book, written in lucid language, is divided into nine chapters, is a must-read for all, especially the teenagers, who find it increasingly difficult to face the challenges in life.
Zarin Ali, is an author of Indian origin born in Ahmedabad. After having an illustrious academic career in KV Ballyganje, Kolkata, she pursued the Masters in Applied Geology from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2017. Ever since, she has been an active geolog

Quirky, fun, sticks to her guns. Loves the ’80s and refuses to censor.
I had the absolute privilege of chatting with the owner and founder of the Zeitgeist Film Festival. She also is a Film Studies Professor at Peninsula College and a Film Professor at the University of New Mexico.
This lady has so much passion and we found out we have a lot in common when it comes to our opinions.

About: Zeitgeist (The Spirit of The Age) film festival.
A year and a half in the making. 158 films from around the world hand-picked and curated in this special presentation. You won’t see any of this on streaming. Welcome to the first post-pandemic event. Others went virtual, we are going live…
The Zeitgeist Film Festival is a non-profit 501(c)(3) that is here to make waves in the festival world! With ties all over the US and abroad, this festival stands to last the test of time or frankly even the Apocalypse! The Zeitgeist film festival will be making its debut and putting roots down in Orange County. We have brought some of the youngest, brightest, and most experienced minds together to build a festival that both cinema experts and aspiring videographers would be proud of. This festival promises to be a hit with old and young alike showing modern-day classics, Shorts, and Independent Features.
This year’s curation is a culmination of the last 5 years of my PhD research that I wanted to share with larger audiences and not just the few other scholars reading my work. In a term I coined: The “Auspicious Apocalypse” I look at the collective subconscious desire for the “end” in hopes to resurrect with something better, something new. Sometimes you have to burn it all to the ground to start over. Can we do this and maintain some semblance of humanity? Will it remind us the importance of community in doing so? Perhaps the fear of the Apocalypse is worse than the Apocalypse itself. Is it wrong to choose not to crawl into a fetal position paranoid for whatever is coming and instead face the music and feel more alive now than we ever have? – Alexandra Nakelski
Check out the list of amazing films and the directors, casts members and special guests who will be there to talk with you and answer your questions. An amazing opportunity to get up close to those you admire. Alexandra has made sure she has catered for all ages in this Filmfest.
I chat with Linwood Jackson, a poet and author of an upcoming YA fantasy novel. But Linwood is more than just a writer. He’s a speaker of philosophy a teacher of love but not the literal kind of love. His thoughts and beliefs can be confusing to some but he has a clear vision and that comes out in his poetry and across in the chat we have.
Linwood Jackson Jr. is an author writing on mental and spiritual health, and on its life-altering benefit. He is someone who believes in the power of the Bible’s words when sincerely exercised and studied. Through his books, speeches, and discourses, he encourages to think and feel for self, that self-love may bloom into self-possession through the knowledge acquired from experience. This, he says, betters the personal and devotional life not only for the person but also for all around them.
I will tell who is is NOT. She not an editor of a magazine that talks about dieting and how to lose weight, advertising stick thin models and promoting how we all should dress and ignoring the real women and men out there. Ignoring diversity.
Jackie Bertolette is a women on a ‘Mission’. She has opened up a platform that allows a never before seen, designer a place to showcase their work, a makeup artist that has never had the opportunity to work with catwalk models. For models of all shapes, sizes, race and sexual orientation . Everyone is included. Diversity is a must for Jackie and her volunteer staff of Haute Ohio Magazine.
This magazine may centre around Ohio and the Mid-West. but it’s download and shipped world-wide. Sadly it hasn’t reached the shelves where the top editorial magazines sit.
But it really should.
Jackie is such an awesome person for what she doing, that other magazine editors and creative directors should sit up and take notice. Things have changed and Jackie is embracing this change with open arms.
I get the opportunity to chat to Jackie about Haute Ohio Magazines and all the small business she owns and is involved in. This is a must watch interview.
